Are you doing complete diagnosis and treatment planning for your new patients? Most dentists could be more thorough. You can make it easier and better, as well as excite your staff, by having them help significantly. Educated DAs and DHs can legally collect the necessary diagnostic data to help the dentist complete a thorough diagnosis and treatment plan. This delegated procedure requires about one hour of staff time. During data collection, the dentist does those clinical tasks that only a licensed dentist can accomplish. The team member has a short private meeting with the dentist at the end of the data collection. The dentist examines the patient with the team member and a front desk scheduler. The treatment plan and schedule are developed. Treatment can usually begin at the next appointment. Learn the necessary data collection procedures, how to educate staff, and the cost, time, and revenue benefits that staff-oriented diagnostic data collection brings to your practice.
