Root canals are supposed to be painful - at least that is what patients believe. A brief graphic explanation showing specific details of root canal therapy calms patients significantly. This presentation shows the standard small access entry into teeth; removal of dead tissue; filling with endodontic materials through the use of illustrations, photographs of clinical situations and extracted teeth. Possibilities for post-endodontic needs, including posts, crowns, or simple restorations are discussed by Gordon as well as the alternative of tooth extraction and relative costs.
Length of video - 9 minutes. Presentation starts with a menu screen that allows controller to select English or Spanish.
