About Practical Clinical Courses

Practical Clinical Courses (PCC), the producer of these programs and provider of these hands-on courses, was established in 1981 by Gordon J. Christensen, DDS, MSD, PhD, ScD.  PCC is a continuing dental education organization for dental professionals of all types including, dentists, specialists, dental hygienists, assistants, technicians, business personnel, manufacturers, retailers, inventors, or other interested parties. PCC is designated as an approved PACE program provider by the Academy of General Dentistry and is an ADA CERP recognized provider.

PCC OFFERS THE FOLLOWING:
Hands-on Continuing Education courses that offer 15 CE credit in many areas of dentistry, including:
Fixed prosthodontics
Esthetic restorative dentistry
Occlusion
Oral surgery
Periodontics
Implant surgery
Rehabilitative dentistry
Other subjects as requested

Outreach courses and invited lectures – PCC provides many excellent educational dental courses and lectures around the world on most of the areas of dentistry, as requested and arranged by dental societies, dental schools, study clubs, lay groups, and other organizations.

DVD presentations - Practical Clinical Courses has a wide range of DVD presentations covering the many areas of dentistry. We maintain a vast video library on a variety of topics at any one time.  Our CE videos offer continuing education credits for all members of the dental team. We also offer great dental educational DVDs for patient education. Patients are able to view the DVD and
knowledgably discuss their treatment options with their dental practitioner.   PCC is constantly releasing new educational titles on the most current topics of interest in dentistry, and older presentations are retired as new versions are made, or as the topic becomes obsolete. Each presentation offers the viewer the opportunity to receive CE credit for their various educational obligations.

Books and articles - PCC keeps an archive of the various books and articles written by Dr. Christensen. Reprints of any article written by Dr. Christensen can be obtained as well as some of his most popular books and manuals, such as: “A Consumer’s Guide to Dentistry” (published by Mosby), and The Dental Documents Booklet – both excellent tools for thorough patient education.

Dr. Gordon Christensen's background and the proven reliability of his dentistry presentations have made him one of the most admired speakers in dentistry for several decades. He has helped initiate two new dental schools, delivered over 40,000 hours of continuing education, co-founded the most well-known private dental research institute in the world CLINICIANS REPORT (formerly Clinical Research Associates), produced hundreds of multimedia dental presentations, and has written hundreds of articles and several books.
